Xorcist is a band from Pueblo, Colorado. Also known as the shit town for metal. For beginners, Xorcist has been through quite a bit in it's short time.
Starting out as the band Ira [meaning wrath in Latin] there was an early song called "Kill Em' All". Pretty much, it was the first full song and was a Metallica tribute. After a few other songs were in the making, Tyler left the band and few line up changes came afterwards [including Tyler rejoining and quitting again].
So here we are. The Xorcist. We play what we like to call "thrash metal". There is also quite a bit of "black metal" in it as well! However, with the songs that we currently have [about 13], they all aren't into one genre. In fact, we are also experimenting with something that has been done very little to this day. Symphonic Thrash Metal! Now doesn't that sound fun. We have songs that take under influence of black, thrash, doom, NWOBHM and even a tad bit of death metal. We had our first gig at Phil's Radiator here in Pueblo on October 26, 2008. We aim to thrash and attack! If you wanna talk to us, help us out, or just party then go for it!! Don't be shy.Ah yes, the wirting process. Well we work very well together. In fact we have entire songs built off just random jam sessions. But all of it sounds really great! Lyrically, the music varies very widely from a horror story of a woman's abortion going very wrong to a telling of how the battle of Armageddon comes underway. The lyrics always seem to question something as well. From questioning whether or not God is really able to help us or if the human spirit is much weaker than expected to be. And well it all comes from Diego having a strong Catholic faith, and Tyler being completely against religion.
