About Me

Born in the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, playing bass is my number one passion . I grew up in church singing and playing other instruments.I began gravitating towards the bass guitar at an early age of 9 years old, I found myself listening to a lot of technical stuff way above my peers.I took part in the San Fernando Music Festival 2001-2003 which we won three years consecutively and was asked to perform on big stage for the first time.St Benedict's College was the first school band in the history of the country to perform at a Pre-Jazz show of Hugh Masekela. Upon realizing my gift,it caused me to dig deeper into bass players like, John Paticcucci, Marcus Miller,Victor Wooten,Braxton brothers and countless of other bass players and musicians. I also enjoy listening to beautiful arrangements by vocal singers, such as Take 6, The Winans, Stevie wonder and many more.Currently I am a session player in my brother's studio, who is also on my space .com/DanielBishop and working on his third album soon to be release. I worked with many highly respected and prominent musicians within the field such as Michael Boothman,Jason Bishop,Clifford Charles and Dean Williams who are(Guitarists). Sean friday(on my space),Jason Bramble,Michael Peters,Anthon Constantine and Michael Nicest(who are respected Bass Guitarists),David Richards and Makesi Joseph(respected Drumers)Willis Charles(Panist),Roger(Trumpeter),Tamba( Percussionist) and my bothers Daniel(Keyboard), David( Singer) and so much more. My desire as a Bass player is to ever continue learning and past on knowledge to others musicians. "Always remember that nothing comes easy it takes much practice to get it right".
