MAKE IT WORK
You have a choice in life: to fight or fight harder. We can't all expect life to pass us our dreams on a silver platter, even if that's how we all might like to imagine "the real world". Some of us aren't even given a platter. We're given a key; a key and a box filled with the unknown- enscribed with a warning label on the lid. Rather than risk opening this Pandora's Box, which could contain greater promise or bane, some of us put it down, cop out, and take what we already had going for us to be "good enough".
Me? Nah. I took the box.
Ninteen years old, engaged and raising a baby; what some have labeled "The End of The Road"/ a.k.a- my life. I have a different perception on this paradox.
Nobody has a set future and just because a minor obstruction plants itself in the middle of your pre-planned and paved road doesn't mean it's over. Fight harder. Just because I now have a baby in my arms doesn't mean I can't still reach for my dreams; one hand in heaven, the other on earth- I'll make it.
Life. That's an "interesting concept". It's short, but in reality, it's the longest thing we've got. So- I'm young, but I've got all the time in the world to still make those hopes manifest themselves into realities.
Sure, I could'a taken the easy road out of my current sittuation- I don't need to tell you that. But why take the easy road? Why deny the challenge, pass up the promise when I could gain so much more in the end?
Me? Nah. I took the box and in it- I found life.

I realize I've made alot of mistakes these past some-odd years. I realize there are those who have sat back and guffawed at the string of events which have played out in my life. I realize that there are those who don't respect the decisions I've made, who I am, and what I stand for. But they need to realize that they are not alone. I agree. I'm not perfect, but I'll strive to bring back life that long-dead standard.
I'm not a girl anymore, but a woman. As a woman, I'm putting aside my past and acknowledging a need for change. No more pretending. You'll find out just who I am, but right now, I need to discover that first.
This I know for sure: I am Isabella's mother and God's daughter. As I continue to delve within that fact, you'll see the treasure within me as soon as all the waste is laid aside.
