Get More at COMMENTYOU.com ..It has been 8 years since we lost NASCAR'S greatest driver,Dale Earnhardt on the last lap at the 4th turn of that race. The Intimidator is gone but never forgotten. He finally won the Daytona 500 after 20 years of trying after losing it every way you could. He persevered and never gave up. He was a true champion. I will NEVER wear any other driver's number than the #3. True Earnhardt fans understand this. I miss him dearly. And now, the general bio.... .................................I love to laugh and make people laugh. I also like to encourage and inspire people. I'm originally from the Chicago area. ( DA BEARS !) I have 3 older brothers and one younger sister. My father was Italian & my mom was Irish & German. I'm a born again Christian & believe in a relationship with Jesus Christ, not religion. I'm not into astrology or any other occult,psuedo-christian or new age philosophies. I attend a full gospel,non-denominational church that teaches the Bible,not doctrines of men.In 1994 I was divorced. My handsome son was only 4 and have raised him with God's help. Our journey is a miracle story if I had space to tell it. A scripture that described my situation to a 'T' was : "He will be a Husband to the husbandless & a Father to the fatherless." The divorce experience taught me that you can lose everything but if God is your 'first love' put faith in Him, praise Him through it and speak His word and in general just obey Him, He will create a new future for you all over again and make a way out of 'no way'. God has & still is providing. I'm not perfect and try to be aware of when I've made a mistake and hope to not be too proud to say 'I'm sorry' when I'm wrong.... I can remember loving to sing from my earliest childhood memories. I sang all the time and loved music. My first BIG purchase when I got my first job was - no,not a new wardrobe of clothes,not even a car, but a "Sound System" !!! It was all components & it took several trips to get it all in my room!In my late teens and twenties I was pursuing a career in acting at various professional theatre workshops in Chicago. I was coached in acting workshops under the late Ted Liss at The Ted Liss Studio, & some improvisational workshops with the late Del Close & Don DiPollo at The Second City. Ted coached many theatre,televison & movie actors. Del & Don coached many of the Saturday Night Live actors. (I'm not in their league, believe me!)For a time I was an assistant house manager of the Arlington Park Theatre playhouse (now torn down) and saw plays with many of Broadway's & Hollywood's legends (most are gone now,too)To name a few: Donald O'Connor,Mamie Van Doran,Van Johnson,Zsa Zsa Gabor,Bill Bixby & his wife Brenda Benet,Robert Urich (who studied with my coach Ted Liss, Lois Nettleton (who recommended me to Ted)& Burt Reynolds.I know,he & Zsa Zsa are still around. So is Lois. She was so sweet to me. You may remember her from a Seinfeld episode where she walked into the kitchen and gasped as she saw George getting an eclare out of the garbage can & eating it. Burt did two plays there over a two year period & yes,ladies he was just Gorgeous! He was sweet to me too!! :-) The cast party was one to remember!Besides theatre training,I attended Harper Jr College in the Chicago suburbs where I earned an AA Degree and also obtained certification as a teachers aide. In 1984/85 I attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma where I received a certificate while there to study the Bible in depth and music ministry. More about music ministry to come.My focus & priority up to now has been to raise my son and provide for my home. When I love I don't do it half way. I will be there for you if at all possible. God, my son, my extended family, close friends, my pastor & church are most precious to me. Tomorrow is not promised to us so make the most of now. Don't settle,Don't give up!
