My Interests

Music:

Band Members: The guys I play with are sidemen who play for the highest bidder so all are extremely versatile and talented musicians. They're in high demand so it usually seems like they need to be booked even before you have the gig!. "Distant Thunder" is what I call the guys who are with me at any show I play. When I'm privileged to have them, guys like Chad Melchert, Dustin Roy, Ryan Davidson, Karac Hendrics, Darcy Johnstone, Lizzy Hoyt, Matt Grier and David Aide, just to name a few, will grace me with their presence.
Influences: At a very young age, I was amazed by my family members who sat around and jammed, as well as church musicians. As I pursued my career, and my musical interests widened, I began to look back at all my influences from the radio such as April Wine, Brian Adams, Trooper, Loverboy, Def Leppard, Journey, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Eagles, George Strait, Alan Jackson and more. I was even inspired by some old Gospel folk such as Jimmy Swaggart, and Elvis. My inspirations today come from anyone who just loves to play, not for money or fame, but because we love to feel the music that revives the soul.
Sounds Like: I've performed my own music for years and also have a lot of singers and bands that I cover when I'm on stage. So now I sound like... everyone at once (haha). No, I sound like... Steve Rain.
Record Label: Looking for the right fit.
Type of Label: Indie
