If you've been to Notre Dame, no explanation is necessary. If you haven't been there, no explanation

About Me

Hi I'm Lisa! =) I am 18 years young, but have packed a lifetime's worth of experiences and achievements into that short amount of time. I am a 2008 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School, but I'm no longer the same girl I was back then. I definitely feel like I'm currently changing for the better. I was born and raised in Texas, but now live and go to school 1,161.45 miles away at the University of Notre Dame, in Indiana! College is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me and I'm happier than I've ever been! Saying that I love ND is a HUGE understatement. I'm not perfect and don't pretend to be. I've screwed up along the way and would be lying if I told you that I didn't regret and wish I could take back certain things. There are events in my past that I wish I could erase, ones I wish I would have handled differently, and ones so perfect, I never want to forget them, but they all got me to this point and made me who I am today... and that, I would NEVER change! I'm continually learning from my mistakes and bad decisions, therefore; I won't hold your past against you. I'm a Christian and God comes first in my life. Since arriving at ND, my faith has grown enormously and I am much more at peace with life. I've learned the hard way to be very picky about the people I surround myself with and allow to influence me. I have an amazingly supportive group of family and friends who I am extremely close to. I'm 100% certain that God has big plans for me. I can't explain how I know that, I just do. I'm a firm believer in taking chances. Eventually, I will make a difference in the world. My Interests

"Anyone can give up. It's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to be able to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart; that's true strength."

I'd like to meet:

"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
