Cory Mathews, songwriter
Cory Mathews regularly leaps from his bed in the middle of the night to record musical inspirations or scribble down lyrical revelations. As a songwriter for the last 15 years, Cory has comfortably worked in a variety of different genres, including but not limited to: pop, rock, indie, alternative, country, punk, children's music, comedy, instrumental, electronica, beat making, etc. But when all is said and done, indie rock remains closest to his heart. Cory turns to contemporary popular music for inspiration, but depends on his academic training in music when Craft needs to bail Inspiration out of a creative jam (AA, BA in Music; MA in Musicology). As a musician, he has regularly performed as a bassist, guitarist, drummer, and vocalist in a variety of acts since 1992.
