Shoot More Holes

About Me

Five confederates formed Shoot More Holes towards the end of 2007. Assembled here you’ve got hundreds of hours of stage experience clocked up from previous bands, making their live shows something sweaty and exciting, not just shoe-gazing. You’ve got oodles of great tunes from a band who embrace intelligent pop as much as the music made in the higher echelons of credibility. You’ve got dirty, scuzzed up songs to soundtrack your one night stand and the passion to match the thrill of a new carnal relationship. You’ve got SMH.

You’ll want to know what makes them the black sheep of alternative electro pop. Just listen to the damned music! But to put it into words, it’s something to do with a vocalist who’s as comfortable with soul as he is with balls-out rock-and-fucking-roll. It’s because the trained pianist on organ/synth can actually play it. It’s because the drummer’s a mathematically-minded machine, the bassist doesn’t wank all over it and the lead guitarist is totally unpredictable.

Oliver Barron [the singer who plays some guitar] + James Magee [the musical Maharishi on organ/synth and backing vocals] + Phil Hobgen [the loyal drummer] + Ash Hofman [the stoic bassist] + Ian Sillett [the volatile guitarist]
= SHOOT MORE HOLES
