The 90 Proof Band has been hailed by local papers as :
"THE GRANDADDY OF HUNTERDON'S BAR BANDS!"
This statement makes alot of sense considering their colorful history. The band was the brain child of Tommy Lunger Sr. and had their start in 1980.
They were mostly country in those days, playing the local C&W bars, benefits, & Fairgrounds.
The band itself has undergone many changes, players leaving and returning, musically becoming more blues and southern rock based. They are a group who looks like they have as much fun on stage as the people who are dancing and singing along.
The boys of 90 Proof have a sentimental side as well, in the time they have been around, they with other organizations, have raised close to half a million in charities. They have, on many occasions, sponsored their own benefits, and have gladly lent their time and talents to countless others.Well, things keep ona changin' round here..
We have new faces everywhere, workin out quite well... Chris Hedges still on lead, now we have Joe Haines ..boards, Wiley Moody on bass, and Bam Bam Brian Bridge on drums. Of course, we still have Sr & Jr on vocals...
