MK-Audio aka (Macka & Keeno) are a Manchester based duo of hard dance DJ’s who are fast establishing themselves to be extremely respected DJ’s within the dance scene. They have been part of the scene for the last 14 years and have spent the first 12 of these years at the other side of the decks and at the front of the crowd. This has given both the boys great experience of what a crowd wants and how important the DJ’s interaction with the crowd is. So in awe of the guys they where seeing rocking crowds every weekend at some of the biggest nights in the country they decided to try their hand and give something back to the scene. They purchased some decks and a 2 channel mixer in 2006 and found themselves hooked. They spent an age practising and criticising till they found the sound they have both come to be so well known for, hard house. From this stage the natural progression took over and they both found their skills becoming seamless and flawless and eventually found themselves ready to hear their sound on a bigger rig. In November 2007 they got their first gig at Goodgreef in Manchester where they played the after party at the Ruby lounge. This gig was the first of many to come as they got bookings thick and fast. The boys attained heaps of sets all over the country and played for established nights with great success. This was adding to their confidence and their stage presence began to grow. Then in 2007 they where made residents for Hybrid which is a Manchester based Psy trance/hard house night which they headlined the second room for. Then later in 2007 they where offered the residency at Wobble which was another Manchester event which played hard dance on a Sunday afternoon. Mike and Tom where finding themselves in great demand and had an extremely busy year playing regularly at their residencies alongside other nights they where being booked for such as A+E, Goodgreef after party’s, Tuition, Wobble, Hybrid, Biscuit monsters, Gravity, Confusion, and reams of private party’s.Macka & Keeno was getting well recognised all over Manchester and they where gaining an absolute wealth of experience within such a short period of time. This led them to play alongside well established DJ’s such as Rodi Style, Lee Haslam, Neal Thomas, Evod & Rigid,Maxwell, S.W.A.T, Flash & Lord K, Burg, Conners, Tim Stokes, Gaz Hunt,Cyber Scottsman, LT1, FKM, Mini Minx,Ezwardo, Cookie & Gooderz, Stomp Addict, Gem Stone, Armin van b viss, Simon Qudos, Fake DJ, Terry Pointon, Fil Devious, Miss Smith, RP, Neil C, Adam K, Andy K, Ben boag and Ian M to name a few. This led them well into 2008 where they decided to take it all a lot more seriously. They took some time out to look at where they wanted to go with their new found skills and decided production was the way forward and the name MK-Audio was born. They have been in talks with Riggsy, Lian Sanderson, Dave Owens and Rodi Style and aim to get their discography on the way. They are also looking into remixing some of the old but never forgotten firm favourites. In July 2008 the boys competed in the Gravity DJ competition where they went from strength to strength each round. The gravity manager became co-promoter/Co-owner of Sin:ergy who had just started up a new management agency Sin Management and offered MK-Audio a placement within their roster with the likes of DJ Burg, Flash & Lord K and the original Hard House legend that is Ian M.Macka & Keeno are enthusiastic, energetic DJ’s who play upfront hard house and NRG. They pride themselves on holding a dance floors attention and taking each and every person in the room on a journey. They are technically impressive and really know how to make sets explosive and give 100% every time. They have a stage presence of their own and engage the crowd as they are veteran clubbers and know what makes a great set. They have played peak and warm up sets so can easily adapt to any situation and get any dance floor rocking.Macka & Keeno.
