ABSENTIA - New Song Up & Merchandise Avabile

Absentia was formed in 1998 by Domenico "Doddo" Murgolo (Guitars & Vocals) and Marco Albanese (Drums) and plays an old style Thrash Metal with influence typically of Death Metal. The band plays some shows with a bass player turnist in Centre/South Italy and have positive response. In 1999 the Band recorded the first demo called "Brutal Killing Cult" that has good reviews on the principal Italian metal magazines and join with the song "Dead to You" in some self- produced compilation. In the 2000 Absentia plays in an important music festival and recorded a new live-demo of 5 songs called "Live...in Death" with Fabio Barile (Rest) like bass player. In the 2001 Fabio Albanese join the Band, as a new guitar player, Absentia now plays a genre more oriented in Brutal Death Metal style, the new song are more speed and aggressive with splatter gore lyrics. In 2002 the band have decided to enter in the studio for record a new demo of 3 songs, but for many reasons, they don't finish the recording session... In the October 2002 Fabio leaves the band, Doddo and Mark decided of disband Absentia for dedicated in another musical projects. In 2007 the band was re-formed with original line up. Now Absentia plays a genre typically Brutal Death Metal with Grindcore influence, faster and aggressive with tematics like porn, gore, surgery and pathology. The band now is recording a new promo of 5 songs will be released in March ‘08.
