[Who is Mookie?]
I'm a 22 year old displaced New Yorker (Strong Island) who has unfortunately lived in Florida long enough to be considered a Floridian. I spent the greater half of my college life at Florida State University although I am now an alumni of the University of Central Florida. I will also be looking into graduate school soon... I'm a Sports Management/Business major with the ultimate goal of working in the front office for an NBA team. I currently reside in Tampa, but I'm not really about all of this south shit (no disrespect). I try to keep my music relatively original in topic although I do love sampling and generally fucking around. And while I strive to keep my music as real as possible, every now and then I end up writing something absolutely rediculous. All in good fun of course. This is just a hobby for me. I do it for the love of hip-hop, for the fun of it, and most importantly to vent and express myself, so take it for what it is... Being from New York I do try to stay within the framework of hip hop, although I don't mind experimenting (pause) and collaborating with artists of all genres. Being Italian, I am a man with a strong sense of loyalty and pride, not to mention a history of crime and good music in my blood. I believe in REAL Hip Hop... So before you go out and tell your friends that I am off my fucking rocker, just remember, I am having fun with this (isn't that what it's all about?). Besides I more than likely am off my rocker, but that's another issue and I'm sure it will be addressed therapeutically at some point in time... So stay tuned and HIT ME UP! ... MOOKIE! ... 1
