About Me

The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media works with entertainment creators and companies, educates the next general of content-creators, and informs the public about the need to increase the number of girls and women in media aimed at kids to reduce stereotyping of both males and females.
GDIGM's statistic across all four ratings (3 males to 1 female in movies) is a worldwide issue because American made content is broadcast all around the world.
GDIGM's examination of the overabundance of traditional or hypersexual roles across four movie ratings and in television aimed at kids is a worldwide issue because this content is shown to males and females around the world.
Children are always learning, so what they learn from film and TV matters and shapes them.
We are looking for the best research and domestic & international entertainment content for our new Los Angeles based resource room -- contact us to donate to the room now!
