The Hellbillies

The Hellbillies were formed at the Roche Bar in Port Huron Michigan, January 1990. Jeff, Rich and Brian had a few beers and the idea for the band began. Their first practice was at Jeff's parents basement in February 1990. Jeff's mom and dad were on vacation, but they soon came home to a band. Jeff's dad involuntarily supplied a lot of beer at the first rehearsals!The first members were Jeff, Rich, Brian and Don. Their first show was "An Alternative Benefit" April 1990 at the Masonic Temple in Port Huron.A change in drummers happend when Chuck Brown joined in the summer of 1991. Rehearsals were moved to Brian's basement in a blur around that time.Brian left the band in September 1992 and the band continued on as a three piece group. This three piece group consisting of Jeff, Rich and Chuck was the first band ever to play at the roche bar!! This opened the door for many other bands. The band broke up in April 1993 and the members moved on to several other projects.....sometimes with each other.Fast forward to October 2007. Rich, Jeff, Don and Brian have decided to do it all over again. The first show is booked for Novemeber 2007 at, where else, The Roche Bar. Some things never change!
