STEREOTYPE
Stereotype is the name of the monthly night hosted by the "Stereotype Deejays" (ironic?) to take place in "The Twisted Wheel", music bar right in the heart of Glasgow. Scotty, Jonny and Kosher Pickle Harry bring a new resident party night to the musico venue with a bit of 60s garage, rock n roll, ska, funk, punk, something o'billy and whatever fits right inbetween.
Every alternate month we will bring you live music from some of the finest bands around, supported by our DJ sets to keep the party going with music to suit the night, you'll find us diggin out our favourite tunes upstairs in the bar every other month.
We are DJs and organisers of partys/spontanous happenings at various locations around the country, that have included, Strummercamp (2006 and 2007), Campbelltown music festivals, secret locations just outside Glasgow, The Soundhaus (Unity Reggae in Glasgow) The Twisted Wheel (Glasgow), Ricos, The Dug Out, Docklane ("18000 seconds (til comedown!", "liquidator", in Greenock) , Hudsons (Surround Sound, East Kilbride) and The Pineapple Club (Greenock).
With experience of playing music alongside the likes of The King Blues, Dennis Al Capone, The Beat, The Cropdusters, Sonic Boom 6, Neville Staples Specials, Dave Sharp, The Men They Couldnt Hang, Random Hand, The Score, Goldblade, Ed Tudor Pole, The Paddingtons, Los Cyclones, Hugh Cornwall, The Infidels, Willy and the Poor Boys, Radio Revolucion, Big Hand,The Parkers, Root System, The Retrosexuals and Kings of Macumba... We play all genres of music to suit the night... as well as having our own individual projects, graphic design, dj/outdoor parties etc.
