My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.RequiemForOblivion.com
Band Members: Recordings: Steve J.: All Vox, Guitars, Bass, Keys, Drum programs. Mike Bryan: Drums, Electronic Drums, and Percussion. Live: T.J. Hinman: Guitars, vox. Looking???: Bass
Influences: Rush, Katatonia, Death, VAST, Duncan Sheik, Porcupine Tree, Agalloch, Swallow The Sun, Dream Theater, Daylight Dies, and a variety of Norwegian Black Metal bands and Swedish Death Metal bands (Ulver, Emperor, In Flames, Enslaved, etc...). I have to also include Alice In Chains for their haunting harmonies that still ring out in my ears tho Layne has since departed. Karl Sanders' "Saurian Meditation" (and NILE in general) has been a big inspiration to me in terms of the more exotic, ambient, experimental aspects of my music. In addition, I was and continue to be inspired by OPETH, partially because of what they were able to do when they released a more or less acoustic CD (Damnation) that turned out to be quite heavy and poignant.
Sounds Like: The haunting sounds in my head...
