Are you ready to SHARPEN?!

About Me

Started in the year of 2004, two bright faced young boys took to making some crazy music! Armed with their computers, guitars and basses they set out on a musical journey across all genres to attempt and create some good songs for all to enjoy! Our live vocalist, Mr. Owen Brunt joined the band about a year later after we got into playing live after a few times up on stage. We ocassionally play live and events for friends/family and are planning to support the rock band "The Blues Wreckers" on their pub tour this summer! *Please note* - we are not what people class as a 'serious band' (hence the song names and our own), by that we mean having fun recording songs without the need for a record deal, this is a hobby and a recreation (We also prefer the idea of playing in pubs and small venues as apposed to 'the place to be') =]

Thanks for coming to our myspace and sampling the musical venture that is Camel Sharpenings, I'm not really an egocentric bastard, it's what I like to call sarcasm and it's the lowest form of wit, DON'T DO IT! Anyway I love to play the guitar and keyboards but thanks to old Maiden here I've grown to love the Bass, I also have "Bass love," from my father as he's "da man" when it comes to bass. My faviroute musician is Steve Vai as he can weave in and out of different genres easily and create some amazingly melodcial and illusional songs. Invader Zim is my faviroute cartoon as not only is my faviroute colour included everywhere possible (PURPLE!!!!) the soundtrack, the voice acting and the animation is something I have never heard or seen before, I also love sci-fi type stories that have tounge in cheek attitudes to retro sci-fi films and the huge city scapes drawn in the cartoon. I'm actually hoping to become a musical dude for the fan series that's going on. My musical tastes are very broad it's Opera one day and Cannibal Corpse the next, which I think is pretty different compared to the one track minds of today who only listen to ONE flippin' genre of music. My dream in msucial terms is to play a solo on top of a fake cliff with a huge fan so I can be the "The Cheesiest Guitarist EVA!" If you need any more info just send an e-mail to [email protected]

Hey guys! and thanks once again for stopping by! Well as you know im the bassist with the other 2, i believe it to be one of the best instruments anyone can play, and if you research into it you will find some amazing musicians both past and present! My musical taste is very different! I stretch over many genres from jazz to metal, from blues to native american and flamenco, from Euphoria to Funk and Soul I love most music thats out there! I appreciate what others like, and respect that however i dont agree when people go against you for your taste, fair point though ey? =P I occasionally play acoustic guitar as i follow the slap influence of john mayer! I enjoy life in general but especially music and my 2 basses, the famous Big Al and Rita! Well thanks for reading! If you wanna find out anymore visit my myspace (myspace.com/mr_maiden) or email us at [email protected]! Cya soon and remember, " Listen to the man playing the bass, he put love in the music man!
