Tressiah Bombino's brilliance gives birth to a new genre of music "African-Italian Fusion" with traditional Italian sounds & African rythmns blended in modern pop, hip-hop, latin & Jazz. The unique sounds, styles, cultures, eras, proverbs & chants are what this Singer, Songwriter & Producer is all about. TRESSIAH BOMBINO was born in Toronto, Canada to Italian parents and has been singing since the age of eight. While singing in the local Church Choir Tressiah made several television apperances. Born as "Teresa DeMaria Bombino" the grandaughter of the late well known singer/songwriter from Italy, "Michele DeMaria" in fact, has been Tressiah's musical inspiration since the age of four. Never knowing her Grandfather, but only through his music Tressiah blends her deep musicial gift & connects it with both her ethnic Italian roots & Spanish ancestory. In 1999 after successfully graduating from The Ontario Conservatory of Music Tressiah began touring around Ontario & Italy. While living in Italy, Tressiah was inspired by the African cultures in Italy & the Italian colonies in East Africa and began to write & produce her first album. In 2006, Tressiah Bombino's self-titled 12 track CD of African-Italian fusion unveils traditional sounds from Italy & rich rythmns of Africa. The re-mix "What's your name" & "Speak da truth" were a success on The Chris Sheppard 102.5 fm radio show in Toronto. When on stage, Tressiah's theatrical performances consist of burning incense, tribal dancing, latin dancers & props all in fashionable custom made outfits & shoes. Tressiah is currently in the studio recording her second album, which will be released in the fall of 2008. This original 10-track CD is recorded in both Spanish & Italian which displays a melodic side of this unique artist.
