I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a freelance writer, and for the past [indistinct mumble] years, I've been in hot pursuit of a publishable novel. I've tried my hand at a mystery, the Great American, and a couple of middle grade/young adult books. I'm pleased (i.e., sobbing tears of joy) that Hyperion Books for Children will be publishing Discordia: The Eleventh Dimension (Winter '09). It will be followed by the sequel, Discordia: Worlds Without End. Both books chronicle the adventures of Lance (level 19 zombie sorcerer), and his friend, MrsKeller (level 23 hobgoblin brigand), who find themselves trapped in the world that inspired their favorite online game. *********************************************************** For more about Discordia: http://www.discordia11thdimension.com/

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

writers, readers, gamers, comics and anime artists, book people, theoretical physicists, the undead, afficiandos of the undead.

the writers life

There will be blood. Not the movie. Slime, crap, spew, gore.  Not Al. There will be a diagnosis, and it will be called colitis. And there will be a bill from the vet for $125.00, followed by a...

one shoe

One lone running shoe just off the main trail, small enough to have been worn by a woman, or a kid, or a man with small feet. Had it been cast aside on purpose? (Penitence, ecstasy, a sudden bunion?)...

the new-ish frontier

New Year's Day, 2008. [Cue eerie music, add shrieking wind, darken color palette. Portentous voice-over:  "New Year's Day..."] Nah. Just start already. Pretend this whole blogging thing is second...
