To celebrate 30 years of S&D&R&R Demon Edsel are issuing a limited edition orange vinyl 7 inch version and Digital EPs containing “Close To Homeâ€, a recording from January 1977, which was only ever issued on an NME cassette in 1981, and has not been reissued since! An EP exclusive to iTunes will also be available containing “Two Steep Hills†(Only ever issued in 1977 on the b-side of an extremely limited NME competition winners 7†release).
To coincide with 2007 being the 30th Anniversary since “New Boots & Panties†was originally released in 1977, Demon Edsel will also release on 26th November a special edition of the album with a bonus DVD featuring Ian Dury & The Blockheads live on BBC’s fondly-remembered “Sight And Sound In Concert†series. The programme was originally broadcast live on 10th December 1977, and is now available for the first time on any format having languished, forgotten about in the BBC’s vaults ever since it’s first broadcast.Adding to the digital music arena, Demon Digital are also pleased to issue for the first time onto download music stores such as iTunes, HMV Digital and mobile stores six back catalogue albums from Ian Dury & The Blockheads.
