About Me

"A friend is one who takes me for what I am." - Henry David ThoreauI love those moments where you can feel the presence of God. Like in the song "Obsession" by Delirious when the lyrics say, "Sometimes you're closer than my skin...you wrap around me like a winter coat." I love being with my wife and getting to know her better. We've been together for more than 7 years and married for more than 5 and every day is a new surprise. I love being with my family and friends who accept me even though they've seen the worst parts of me. I love to watch movies and read books and listen to music that moves me and makes me want to be a better person. I love to laugh until I can't catch my breath or I start making weird wheezing noises. I am willing to act crazy in order to have fun and am never embarrassed in those moments. I love deep and lasting relationships with people who are 100% real and honest. I love truth, beauty, hope, love -- life.

My Interests

Hmmmmm....music, movies, brilliant literature, people who are not afraid to show who they really are...who can talk about more than just music, movies and brilliant literature. Dreaming of traveling the world and stopping in all my favorite haunts. Pretending I have favorite haunts across the world. Getting to know people deeply. Sharing embarrassing moments unabashedly, knowing full well that each of us has them. Trying to make myself better. Learning to love my faults. Breathing outside air. "Driving and dreaming" with "windows down and music on the stereo." People who are not politically correct. People who are okay with being self-effacing and who don't take stereotypical jokes seriously but who also are confident and love themselves.

I'd like to meet:

Meeting someone is simply not enough for me. I would love to spend some quality time with the following people: Donald Miller, Derek Webb and Zooey Deschanel. I have met but have to say I would also enjoy more time with Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
