Edvard Doling was born in Utvær the 7th of July of the 1970
together with his siamese twin Herman Doling who died
after 9 months to let him live.
This loss has moved the artist to find continuously a way
to fill up his lack through art and in particular through music.
His passion for sounds and his experimental approach, totally
self-taught, are able to create soundscapes that generate
parallel spaces: the obsessing and repetitive rhythms open
up some kind of inner spaces in the mind of the listener.
This is the reason for his solid collaboration
with the italian artist DAVIDE PEPE , with whom he had a secret and passional relationship at the end of the 90's.
The inner visions of the italian artist were the right scene
where his parallel universes could be shaped and take place.
For him he created the musical narration of his last short films
and the soundscape for the disturbing video installation "Figli di NN",
an improbable contact place between life and death.
In the 2007 Edvard started another important collaboration:
for the norwegian artist Jørgen Gaarder he created the sound
for his first experimental film "Broken bodies".
