My middle name is Elizabeth, after the woman who's not my godmother. My first name is Katherine after a troublemaker who lit his couch on fire and died just a few days before I was born. My last name apparently means "vulture," which I am not pleased about. I am four feet eleven inches tall, and I like e.e. cummings better than Emily Dickinson. I find punctuation more intriguing than soccer. I don't file my nails, I clip them; and I'm not in love but I love plenty of people. I wear size six shoes. That means size four men's and size four children's. I fear aliens and inadequacy equally, and almost nothing else.
