SpyrQ New Singles (Act A Fool and Walk Witt Me)

About Me

“It Ain’t Safe No More!” scaring up tons of fans Los Angeles, CA – “It Ain’t Safe No More!” is the new CD from hip-hop purveyor SpyrQ. Hitting the streets of the indie world and targeting the big industry, this rap iconoclast is blazing out with his signature sound and proving his mettle in a ferociously competitive genre. The artist’s name is pronounced “Spy-Roll” and this hip-hop soldier. The Q physically symbolizes the O and the L in the name. The inspiration for the moniker came from the popular video game Spyro, in which a dragon has to help others of his kind. The specific application of the concept is that SpyrQ is out to help “those who have been through what I have been through.” He is out to change life with the power of his lyrics, SpyrQ explains, standing by the idea that a negative situation can be transformed into positive. “It Ain’t Safe No More” and such standout tracks as “Animal” and “Get Up” show off the bare-knuckle, take-no-prisoners hooks that drive his music. Aggressive, lean and direct, SpyrQ’s music and lyrics thrive on pride, self-empowerment and determination. His versatility is on full display as he shifts from such aggro-powerhouses as the aforementioned tracks and such smooth groove displays of passion as “Baby Girl.” SpyrQ began his rapping career in 1998. Following the disbanding of his former group, The R.O.D.S. (Rydin Off Da Struggle), he set out to be the master of his own musical destiny, acquiring his own studio and forming his own label, Street Souljahz Inc., which he has owned since the age of 16. In 2004, he connected with A-Ca$h, Two Time Records’ founder and ex-Street Souljahz Inc. member and decided to put A-Ca$h on his promo “Firestarttah.” That release became a big hit in the indie scene. His next success sprang from bringing hip-hop act The Regiment on board with Street Souljahz Inc. Rapper Tha Savage also joined the roster. He subsequently changed the label name to Records to Street Souljahz Ent. Besides his 2004 demo “Firestarttah” and the current “It Ain’t Safe No More,” SpyrQ has released “Feel My Pain, Hear My Hunger,” “Itz My Tyme 2 Shyne,” “Speak If You Want To Be Heart: Tha Poetry Segment” (a demonstration of his poetry skills) and “A Menace II Tha Industry,” a mixtape. SpyrQ records and mixes all of his own music. He began rapping at the age of 11, honing his craft on a karaoke machine and at talent shows, and started his label at the age of 16. He is currently working with A&R Select, the world’s largest independent artist development firm, based out of Los Angeles, CA.
