..Yes, the babycakes are indeed one whole year old...1000s of escaped cakes and millions of hundreds and thousands on, we are delighted the project is still going on and that cake drops are still happening across London and the UK. To celebrate our first year's birthday, we did an extra special cake drop on Saturday 22nd NOVEMBER around the place where the inaugural one occurred. There was one extra special golden cupcake hidden for one lucky cake taker to find and win a mystery prize. Nobody found it or claimed their prize though....Booo! Willy Wonka didn't have this problem... Let us know if you find it!
Lots of lovely people joined us in Hoxton Square for a street tea party to celebrate with a much needed warming cup of hot chocolate and a cake or two...We love meeting you all, keep your eyes peeled for more cake drops! xxx
The Great Cake Escape has recently featured in thelondonpaper, Le Cool, Time Out and Soho HOUSE magazine. Ooo we do like a good bit of press and publicity! Those little cakes are getting quite a reputation for their escaping antics....
