There are many strings to my musical bow, Im a club DJ, turntablist and producer writing beats for SOUL SYNDICATE (click the link to our myspace) specialising in most areas of black music like hip hop, grime, dancehall, reggae etc. Please check out my MP3s.
THE BEGINNING OF THE IMMORTAL SOUNDBWOY......
At age 15, I persuaded my folks to get me some AWFUL belt drive decks for christmas. a couple of years later i was deejaying drum n bass in and around the Hereford area. Gradually i moved away from drum n bass and got heavily into underground U.S/U.K. Hip Hop {Rawkus records/Rodney P, Jehst etc) and after finally getting Technics 1210s (WOO HOO!) i moved to High Wycombe for University. I was resident Hip Hop guy at a few venues, and then i moved back to Horrorford at 22 after graduating.
NOW IT GETS INTERESTING...
I started teaching turntablism workshops at schools, youth clubs, young offenders units etc all over the West Midlands, something that i still do. I entered and won three annual DJ battles in a row at Hereford club The Jailhouse, and was then banned from the from the fourth for being too good! I also won th Worcester DJ of the year battle (WORCESTER!!!!!!) in 2002, winning £500 pounds and a residency at a dismal illuminous pub. I aso came second at a worldwide dj.com battle at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon, winning a record bag and a broken pair of headphones.
NOW IT GETS SERIOUS...
I was asked to be the scratch deejay in hip hop/reggae band DUBMERGE, and a few years later we also became the backing band for MOLARA (ex zion train). since then i have travelled allover The UK doing gigs and even to Croatia and Holland! I also became a live turntablist for THE POWERSTEPPERs (Colin Cod, ex zion train main man) live shows.
WHAT IM DOING NOW.....
In September 2006 I completed my modest studio and now make beats for artists, remixes, mash ups etc. I now produce the music for SOUL SYNDICATE, a crew of 5 rappers, 2 singers and myself reppin hip hop, grime, dancehall, roots etc. We recently supported LETHAL B at the Jailhouse in Hereford!!!! In January of 2008 I wil be co-producing and writing the new Molara album alongside Colin Powerstepper, Big Daddy Spliff (DUBMERGE, SOUL SYNDICATE) and of course Molara.
