In the Fall of 2003, Anna Velzo moved to Chicago to continue her professional career, and to work more with Alex Klein, former Principal Oboe of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Currently Ms. Velzo is a member of the New Millennium Orchestra and the International Chamber Artists, and has performed with various groups including the Ars Viva Symphony Orchestra, St Barth Music Festival, and the International Contemporary Ensemble. Along with her busy freelance schedule, Anna is working on innovative classical projects for solo and small ensemble performances, as well as several recording projects. Anna attended the Manhattan School of Music in New York City on a full scholarship, where she studied with Joseph Robinson, former Principal Oboe of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. While there, she also founded and led a world music group: Anna and the Post Road Band. The group performed regularly in several New York City music venues.
