He plays acoustic guitar and piano and has released two cd's to date with a third on the way October 2008.Girard began writing his own material in 2000 after a major breakup. In 2001, he released his debut CD, "Corny Love Songs" and began doing shows around the Cleveland area. After a brief hiatus, in 2004 he teamed up with legendary sideman and former Love Affair lead singer Rich Spina to record the follow up CD, "The Long Way Home." Two tracks from that disc, "Summer Morning" and the Jackson Five cover of "I'll Be There" (a duet with Sacha Evans) recieved significant college radio airplay and Girard hit the road for a series of shows.2008 will show the release of Girard's third disc and is being recorded in LA and Cleveland. The as yet to be titled disc tackles, as usual, love lost, as well as personal struggles and the untimely passing of his father. Girard feels this colection of songs are, regretfully, his most personal and honest to date."It's hard being a songwriter when things go wrong in life because we feel things so intensely. Some people can just tune stuff out but I have to face it-write about it or I can't move on. But I'm really proud of the songs and can't wait to get back on the road."Details on Girard's upcoming shows and new CD will be released shortly. Keep checking back for updates.......
