my destiny
Mewithoutyou, the psalters, Buena Vista Social Club, Muse, Gypsy Kings, american culture experiments/american history project, Beloved, radiohead, Waterdeep, Blindside, lots of stuff -- whatever
do they even really make good movies anymore? let's see: I liked Bats (starring Lou Diamond Phillips) , uhh, definitely anything Ben Affleck, Miss Congeniality 2, Charlie's Angels 1+2 (nothing says good movie like a 90 minute music montage), and i think i'll just predict that I'll REALLY dig the Hawaii Five-O or C.H.I.P.S. movies when the studios finally get around to running out of the few remaining ideas they have left.but seriously, I dig a well done war movie. Crash, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Edward Scissorhands, The Neverending Story, Labrynth, The Explorers, Stand By Me, A Christmas Story, The Shawshank Redemption, Nightmare Before Christmas, Willow, army of darkness, Shaun of the Dead, Apocalypto, 3:10 to Yuma, The Invasion, etc etc etc etc...
moving picture box
The Great Divorce, A Grief Observed, God in the Dock (C.S. Lewis). The Latent Power of the Soul, Normal Christian Life (watchman nee). Augustine's City of God. church history, roman history,Oh yeah, and defintely the Bible. I started reading that thing as a joke and underlined all this stuff that i thought was crap and wrote in the margins all this mocking stuff- then like a year later after i read it cover to cover, I had to throw away that Bible cuz i was so convicted about the stuff i had done to it. I HIGHLY recommend reading Deuteronomy, Jeremiah, Isaiah, the Gospels, and Romans. Even from an educational/intellectual standpoint, those books (and the rest of the Bible) are absolutely fascinating.
God, for making such a WILD story in His foolishness that was still wiser than the wisdom of man.
