The Dirt Bike Kids were a bunch of thugs who started fires, cut people, and played music. Some bands in Tempe were afraid of them, because they knew the Dirt Bike Kids were more than just a band, they eventually became a vast criminal enterprise in Arizona, stretching from Nogales to Lake Powell, Yuma to the Petrified Forest. Many a teenager and young adult in Arizona felt their wrath. They didn't fuck around.They mainly played the Nile, Tempe Bowl, and other clubs in the Phoenix area. But also in Tucson, Flagstaff, and Prescott on occasion. One of their Guitar players would wander around the club with a wireless unit, kicking people and screaming at them. The other guitar player slammed people against the wall with just the thrashing of his guitar. The drummer pounded the drums so hard the kids in the front lost their hearing. He was a monster. And the bassist/singer always seemed to end up naked, draped himself in flags, and rolled around on the floor. Also, there was another guy who dressed in scuba gear and various other outfits and randomly ran around onstage.They were together from 1997 to 2000. There was a reunion show in 2001, and there's still some talk of another. Regardless of what happens, the Dirt Bike Kids will live on forever, motherfucker. After all, the Dirt Bike Kids died for your sins.
