Japa was formed in early 2007 by yoga practitioners and healers who were looking at kirtan as an interactive musical form but with an eye towards modern music in diverging genres. As their style developed they quickly found a medium where a deep respect of friendships and love for music can be cultivated and projected at their kirtans. Japa (the Sanskrit word for mantra repetition) plays for the sheer delight of riding the vibrational high and sharing their hearts with all!
