Fashion, expensive cars, celeberties, clubs, having a perfect body, etc are superficial things to me. What's more important is how tender and thoughtful you are and if you are able to put thoughts to words and words to action and maybe just sometimes...put your own needs aside to serve others; not just when it's easy or convenient but to sacrifice a little of yourself. Not to always wait until you've taken care of yourself first and then only give whenever you feel like it. I like selfless people who don't give for recognition, obligation, guilt, or to feel good about themselves but to understand that giving is a part of life; like eating or sleeping. "To be able to truly give is to be able to truly appreciate life." I also like people who are fearless. People who'd stand up for what is right even if it means they'd be judged or ostracized. People who are willing to face truth and their own weaknesses without having to be mean or harsh or dumping because of their own insecurities. People who are strong but are also tender and gentle. People who can look back at their past without shame or denial and acknowledge both the good and the bad as life lessons. I definitely do not like people who are in denial because denials lay the foundation for deceit, self-hatred, and cruelty. "If you don't face your demons today, you'll become one tommorrow." I don't like people who only chase after new things or new people for self aggrandizement and neglect or take for granted the people and things that they do have in their lives now. "True compassion comes from true humility."
