About Me

Where to start ? Music has always been an integral part of my life. I trained to be a dancer at the London School of Contemporary dance. Before graduating I moved to Paris to work with a choreographer called Jean Francois Duroure. I then went back to college to gain a Post grad in Performance. Having completed the course I Joined Diverions Dance company in Cardiff, Wales where I spent Seven years. I then move to Belgium to work with the Choreographer/ Director Frederic Flammand. So as you can see I have spent the most part of my life to date being a professional dancer working with various companies in Europe. As I get older I feel that I don't wish to perform on stage anymore. Call me lazy, but 13 years of performing is a long time and it does take it's toll on the body as I can no longer throw myself around on a stage like a twenty year old anymore. So onto the new. As I said music has always been an integral part of my life so this is a new chapter ready to unfold.Living in London and attending dance school my club outings weren't many. But the times I did go out left a big impression on my musical journey. London was spent at nights called The Fezz, this is the first time I heard Gilles Peterson play, Warehouse Parties and Bar Rhumba on a monday night. Also the rave scene was big around that time. After graduating College I moved to Paris and hung out at a club called Shaherazade. I then moved back to the Uk and moved to Cardiff, Wales. This is where I fell in love with house music. A friend Pedro introduced me to a night called Spice held at the University. From there it was onto Time Flies and the infamous Cardiff club, The Hippo. But it was the L'America night I most liked. The Guys running the night, Dave and Craig would get the best DJ's spinning the latest American house tunes. I ended up DJ'ing myself at a club called The Toucan on a Thursday night with a guy called Bonesy, I got the gig through a musician friend Kris Jenkins and bonesy introduced me to the NuJazz and broken beat scene.Over the past few years I have managed to amass a very eclectic selection of vinyl by established artists in the house, Jazz, Disco and Broken Beat scene. These records have had a huge influence on me and can be heard in the music that I am trying to put together. After living in Belgium for seven years I have returned to the UK. I will still be keeping my monthly residencies in Bruxelles @ Cafe Belga & The Rois Des Belges and will be looking for gigs in and around London and further afield. I mix a blend of Jazz, House, Disco, Tech House, West London Beat, Brokenbeat and more recently am feeling the Dubstep vibe.
