Dr Sylver and the Library of Everything was: Brilliantly inventive and original storytelling… (LICC), ...a book which takes hold of you and won’t let you go, a stunning fiction debut (Phil Groom, London School of Theology Books and Resources) and gained a Diamond Pledge endorsement from the National Deaf Children's Society.
Dr Sylver and the Repository of the Past is: To use the ‘page-turner’ cliché, Dr Sylver is so enjoyable you can’t wait to find out what will happen next (National Deaf Children's Society), ...skilfully developed, the storyline takes on new and surprising twists that will keep you reading to the end...a brilliant and whacky idea that simply works. I love the references to Christians and Gospel truths that permeate the book without being "twee" or predictable. In fact there's NOTHING predictable about this story! It's gutsy and real. Beware - you will be hooked in the first few pages! (Signs of God) and... Paul Kercal is the real thing. He’s an artist, quirky and authentic, and a gifted writer to boot. Paul’s book is tremendous and deserves as wide a release as possible (Tré Sheppard of OneHundredHours).
