Mirrorghost began as an idea between a couple of close friends. This idea — to bring like-minded musicians together and create an array of evocative music that they felt from the depths of their hearts…
Sure, that sounds typical, but not so typical when its members span the regions of the globe.
Comprised of three successful solo musicians: 05Ric (UK based), Andy Fosberry of Ironlight River (UK Based) and Mark Dougherty (USA Based); the method was simple: create a basic instrumental track with vocals, send it to the next player who would add their respective parts, and to the next, till the songs built and were full and complete.
Soon enough though, this idea began to truly flourish, as the songs took on a life and sound that is ultimately unique: it’s haunting and complex, it’s a vivid dream so wrought with emotion it startles you awake, it’s beautiful and alluring, it’s a calming memory from your past and a vibrant hope for the future.
Call it the fruition of the collective vision. But, what we prefer to call it is great music. So, take a listen.
