About Abbey Road on the River
A Beatles fest that occurs every year around Memorial Day in Louisville, KY. Bands from all over the world come together to celebrate the music of the fab four.

What are The Quilt Girls, and what do they do?
The Quilt Girls are Lara, Liz & Heather, three local Beatles fans who were very happy to have AROTR come to Louisville.
The idea of the quilt developed in 2006, only two days before the event! The quilt was made quickly with simple supplies, but was made beautiful by the bands and musicians who signed and drew what they wished.
In 2007, the quilt took on new meaning when the Quilt Girls decided to make an extra quilt to raffle off. All of the proceeds went to a local charity, Project Women, and the quilt found a home in Pennsylvania. The 2007 quilt was made of colorful patches to help celebrate Sgt. Pepper's 40th anniversary.
For 2008, the Quilt Girls created a quilt to commemorate HELP! All proceeds went to the Make a Wish foundation. The quilt found a local home in Louisville KY!
The theme for 2009's AROTR is Abbey Road, and The Quilt Girls are also commemorating that great album with a colorful and very awesome quilt. Proceeds will again go to the Make A Wish foundation - help us make a wish come true while taking a change at winning a totally one of a kind AROTR souvenir!! SEE YOU IN MAY!!
