Mary Danna grew up in Minnesota performing with her three sisters all over the twin
cities. She studied piano, voice and guitar while in college earning a degree in music
education from the University of Minnesota. She also enjoyed success writing national
jingles for MN advertising agencies. Music has always been her passion.Danna started collaborating with Nashville songwriters in 1992 was signed with Famous
Music Publishing from 1998 to 2005. She received her first BMI award in 1999 for her
top 5 hit "Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone" as recorded by Trace Adkins. Other radio hits
include "I Would've Loved You Anyway" by Trisha Yearwood "One Day Closer To You"
and "Into You" by Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Other cuts include: "Rhymes With" (Lila McCann), "Almost Always" (SHeDaisy), "She's Everything You Want" (Billy Gilman),
"Shade" and "Say The Word" by comtemporary Christian recording artist Kelly Minter and
most recently "Got There First" and "Nothing Good About Lonely" by Carolyn Dawn
Johnson.
