Shit. I knew it.
Well…

Popera (an opera for the people) Concept, words, music, arrangements, male voices and rythm guitar : Sébastien Duperret (told you it was quite everything)
Women voices : Ernestine Sukkelmeieer and Jaqueline Honeychurch. Some funny game : try to guess who’s singing where. Anyway I won’t tell you…
Lead guitar :(actually « lead » is not the word, I’d rather say « everything I wasn’t able to do on the guitar, wich means a lot » but it was too long and I hadn’t any room left in this booklet to write something this long) Walter« no groove » Wilson
Bass, drums and some other instruments like organs and tremolophone (what a funny name): Well you know… If I chosed to record with garageband it’s because, finding musicians and make them gather at the rignt time, like friends or like brothers… in a spirit of fraternity and with this wonderfull feeling of making music progress… for the beauty of it… is just impossible. In what world do you live ? they all work for money. And when they don’t they always open their mouth.* So all these instruments are loops. Didn’t you notice the poor quality of their lines ???**
Strings performed by the garageband philarmonic orchestra under the wise and enlightend direction of me.
« Motown Funk » was performed by the Garageband rythm and funk combo. Of course this song has nothing to do with the rest of the album but I had so much fun listening to it that I wanted to share this fun with you people. No I’m kidding. I just needed one more song that’s all.
Recorded at Chesaux road studio (my room actually) by me (this booklet may sound a bit egocentric… wathever…). With a little help from… my cat and the incredible tolerance of my family. God bless the rest of them. I mean if He wants… I wouldn’t dare to… well forget it.
All the stories told in these songs are fictional. And so is my life.
Thanks to: apple computers, washburn, Fender mexico (I don’t know why I thank them because after all I bought all this stuff), Migros for their delicious ice tea, zweifel for their chips, Harrap’s for their french/english dictionnary and whathever I found smokable but mostly chesterfield for my cancer. Special thanks to George Lucas and Roger Waters for having graciously influenced my work. (maybe the only thing they did graciously).
Well I guess it’s all for now, I’ll call you if I remember any other crap deserving to appear in this booklet. May the force and all that kind of things. Peace and so on.
*actually even the folks I’m talking about upside are not real persons… they’re just imaginary friends. I recorded this thing alone. On my own. In my room. Without anybody. No one helped me. I have no friends. Go away and leave me alone.
**This is where you should say : WHAT ??? These are loops ??? but it sounds just like a real instrument played by a real musician !!! If you hadn’t told me I wouldn’t have noticed. The guy who did that must be a genius. (you can ad some other things like that if you want)
