I play saxophones, clarinet, flute, electric bass, and ukulele.I studied "legit" saxophone in college with Dr. Jackie Lamar, but I managed to overcome that habit a few years back. I greatly appreciate what I learned from Dr. Lamar. Now I am studying jazz, and exploring avenues of improvisation.Now I focus my energies on jazz performance and composition. I studied flute with Dr. Carolyn Brown and acquired a rudimentary understanding of the instrument. I taught myself clarinet well enough to read in most professional settings, but I still plan on studying with someone in the future.I picked up electric bass while living with a friend of mine who played bass. He had several basses around the house, so I just started playing with them, and found one day I could actually just sit down and play bass.I pay the bills by working as a butcher at the Highway 10 Kroger in Little Rock.I have three children, a beautiful wife, and a large group of very great friends. In all, I have to say I am very lucky.
