The Vast Tracks

The Vast Tracks was created in the fall of 2006. Krogsgaard & Kronby, who had been friends since they were six, hadn’t been in contact for a long time. Mark Kronby was playing in a band called Toucan Joes and Mark Krogsgaards band just broke up. Krogsgaard and Kronby met at kronbys place and jammed a whole night. They agreed to play together again, even though Kronby played in Toucan Joes. That night ‘Rider’ was ‘born’. The two mates discovered an awesome sound together - with Kronbys wolfstring guitar sound and Krogsgaards cool rusty voice.The months went on and it became clear to Kronby that he had to join Krogsgaard and start up a new band. Next step was to find a bassist that could match the raw sound that has already developed.Krogsgaard and Kronby went out one Saturday night and joined a party and totally unprepared when they started talking with a younger guy. He was interested in Krogsgaard and Kronbys musical experience and their problems finding a good bassist. The lad suddenly got the courage to tell them that he was in fact a pretty good bass player. They were thrilled and on the very next day they all met for a tasty jam. They immediately asked the young lad to join the band and he accepted on the spot. His name is Sebastian Gabe.Now Krogsgaard, Kronby and Gabe jammed on and on – discovered cool riffs with an awesome bass. The three guys now needed the fourth member of the band and after having had a couple of drummers for audition with no success Kronby told about a girl in his class who dated a new guy. This guy played the drums. The three lads set up a meeting with this guy. They listened to him playing with the drum kit upside down, because he was a left handed playing on a right handed drum kit. They were stunned. this they were looking for and they offered him to join. His name is Daniel Cross. In January 2007 he joined the band.
