Rarely does lighting strike the same place twice. But in the case of New Orleans soul crooner “Rantzâ€, that’s exactly what happened. Lightning struck once in the New Orleans neighborhood of Hollygrove and gave the world Lil Wayne. Now fifteen years later from that same Hollygrove block, New Orleans has given birth to “Rantz – The Playboy of R&B.†What Lil Wayne is to Hip Hop, Rantz will be to R&B. With a smooth, Angelic voice, Rantz makes songs for the women. When asked if he wanted male fans Rantz responds, “ its cool, they better close they ole ladies ears!†Its that swagger and belief in his ability that has earned him the name “The Playboy of R&B.â€
After winning countless talent shows in and around New Orleans, Rantz teamed up with DG Entertainment, a local production team with ties to industry heavyweights such as Khao, Diezzel, and DJ Toomp. After leaving New Orleans because of Hurricane Gustave, Rantz’s career received an unexpected surprise. At a party in Atlanta hosted by The Networking Company, Rantz was introduced to Walter “Bossman†Butler, CEO of Extreme Entertainment. Extreme Entertainment had recently just finished a successful campaign with Baby Boy da Prince, taking his single “The Way I Live†to number 11 on Billboard. Keon Foley, the CEO of The Networking Company, introduced the young singer to Bossman, and after one listen to his demo and a live session, Rantz signed to Extreme Entertainment as their premier R&B artist.
With over 100 songs recorded, Rantz has just released his single “That Girl Right There,†with much fanfare. DJ’s all over the south including The Go DJ’s have all co-signed it as a smash hit! So far it looks like Hollygrove has produced another classic artist. Maybe lightning does strike twice!INFO: For booking or drops contact:
