She has explored dance through various styles. She started out in the APAC (Academic and Performing Arts Complex), and was then promoted to the Modern Dance Collective Company of Jackson, which led her to receive a full tuition dance scholarship to the American Dance Festival of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She then ventured into solo dance efforts in churches, local festivals and concerts. One of her most enriching experiences was receiving a dance scholarship to attend Ballet Magnificat School of Arts. Sky later studied under David Keary of Ballet Mississippi in which she trained to begin working with various schools and programs throughout the Jackson, MS area. She also performed hip hop and jazz dance with the Bridget Archer Performing Arts Group.
Sky is an instructor for Xtreme Dance School of Performing Arts, Inc. A nonprofit organization which is designed to mentor, motivate and educate youth (3yrs. to 18yrs. old) to become positive and sucessful individuals by helping to make their dreams a reality. She not only teaches and choreographs for her students, but have choreographed for many Hip Hop & R&B artists. Sky's past experience and training includes ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, salsa, and improvization.Sky has modeled and appeared in magazines, television commercials, fashion shows, celebrity album covers and danced in video shoots featured on BET. She has won several Dance Competitions, and Beauty Pageants; She placed top 20 in the 2005 American Idol auditions in Mississippi, and was previously named Mississippi's "Best Female Dancer of the Year" at the Mississippi's Dirty South Hip Hop & R&B Awards Show. Sky has performed across the United States in concerts which featured many different celebrities, such as; B2K, Mya, Case, Karen Brown, Tyrese, Genuine, Jaheim, Jagged Edge, Outcast, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, Little Richard, Nicholas Cage, Lisa Marie Presley, David Banner, Lil Webbie, Muggsy, Mario and Young Capone, just to name a few. Some of the places she has performed includes: music awards, casinos, festivals, churches, schools and many various concerts.Sky is currently working with great producers such as AJ Alexander, who also discovered and produced the most famous superstar, Usher. She also has a role in an upcoming movie called "The Black Bag", which is to appear in over 2500 movie theatre, and is produced and directed by Billie Badd.
