About Me

To Have Control, THC, is a hard rock band with a progressive edge of conceptual and classical music.THC's own material and signature sound is uplifting to their fans. THC influences are enhanced by their experiences with the bands they got into when they were growing up. Each member brings with them the influences of where they came from, each embracing progressive stylings penetrating levels of light and high energy and a cool sound with an inherent musical approach attracting more and more people and coming together to their original compositions, combination of elements independence, and freedom in this style of music.
John Irwin, Lead Singer has very strong influences of Kiss with a connection that is unsurpassed to Kiss music and he has had classical training in Opera and has come from different bands all in rock. He plays a very dynamic hand in implementing chord progression changes and has a unique ear for tonal definition.
Marcel Dube,Percussionist Drummer, Singer implements original creativity and direction came up with the idea of forming this band as he has played in another band Sweet ivy with John. Marcel's influences are of many legends in Canadian Rock as Rush, and he's is into the progressive rock band Dream Theater.Steve Heaslip Bassist, joined the band is a skilled bass player and is the bands party central man. Steve's hard rock metal elemental edge comes from Death.
It is obvious to the listener that this band is into the music.
The sound as a whole essence is a skilled layering of a new sound that has reemerged with distinct quality enhanced by all these bands each bringing their own skill set with brilliance to the result is conveyed. Is it any wonder that THC is the substance of Rock?..
