20 year old Victoria from Lincolnshire has been singing & dancing since a very early age. Coming from a family where her parents & sibling enjoyed very different types of music, she gained an insight into the different genres of music & developed a passion for it. She began listening to the likes of Aretha Franklin & Celine Dion due to her father who enjoyed almost every genre of music but especially soul and Donna Summer, Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston in which her mother would play regularly on trips to school.
She would regularly sing Disney theme tunes around the house & almost danced everywhere she went whether it was indoors or in public. As time went on she began to sing at social events & enter talent showcases just for fun, she has never lacked confidence which has always shown through her performances.
for Victoria, this was just the beginning...THE SINGER:
Victoria started writing her own songs at the age of 9 and has continued to do so over the years, she would perform them to her friends & family & record them on her stereo for others to hear. At the age of 12 Victoria won a Talent showcase, beating 120 other hopeful's by singing the Jennifer Lopez hit - If you had my love & this determined her to keep doing what she loved to do. By the age of 15 Victoria had recorded 3 tracks onto a demo at school, with professional equipment, it was around this time that she also realised that she had another hidden talent which would wow others & that was dancing...THE DANCER:
Victoria has always enjoyed dancing, whether out with friends or dancing at home to the tv but it was around the age of 15 that she realised that she could really do something, make something of herself with her god given talent which was being able to dance. She has never had a single dance lesson & when questioned about dancing she says "I think its something you either have or you dont, anybody can learn a dance routine but you cant be given rhythm, its something that runs through your body, through your veins, its just a part of you!".
Nearing the end of her schooling, Victoria decided to move onto College, having few options in mind she decided to enroll on a Performing Arts BTEC National diploma course for 2 years which included: Singing, Acting, Dancing, Choreography, Sports, Fitness & Vocal technique and more.
She completed the course achieving all of her grades & then had to decide her next move which was not to be University, when asked about why she did not want to go to University she answered "I feel I am knowledgable enough about the career path I want in life, going to University would not of benefitted me as I have learnt all I can on the subjects in which I love. I completed my college course & really felt that it was as far as I could go with diplomas and degree's... I know what I want & going to University would of just prolonged this".
She then went onto appearing in the Pantomime of Sleeping Beauty as the main character & performed at Lincoln Royal Theatre & 2 other venue's in Lincolnshire. In 2007. Victoria was offered a job at Lincoln University in Lincoln, as a Sports & Fitness centre Assistant & accepted it, she is currently researching into undergoing a Fitness Instructor course which will enable her to teach her own Dance lessons & share her talent with others!Myspace Codes Free MySpace Layouts
