About Me

Geeze...I'm a music lover, and I really appreciate anyone who is musically inclined. I enjoy writing stories.
.. My dream job would be to be a successful novelist...successful enough that it pays the bills. I love watching people. I can do it for hours...body language is interesting. I'll strike up a conversation with a total stranger any chance I can, as long as the opportunity is right. Sometimes though, I become tongue-tied. I have a preoccupation with making people laugh, or at least making them smile. The "Soup Nazi" on Sienfeld would be a challenge for me, but I'd keep on with him until I got some kind of glint in his eye. I've done interesting things to make a living: I've worked in television (Promotion) and on the radio (I sucked), I've fixed navigational optics in the US Navy, I've dealt with anything and everything that comes out of the human body in laboratories (and I can draw your blood), I've worked with hazardous chemicals and poisonous gases for semiconductor manufacturers. Countries I've visited: Israel, Egypt, Spain, Italy, France, England, Austria, Germany, Cuba, Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Venezuela, Mexico, Lichtenstein, Brussels, the Netherlands, have I missed any? I've lived in Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, Texas and now Georgia. I recently started taking guitar lessons to learn how to pick. That's lots of fun. I like hiking, canoeing, ping-pong, drinking red wine....and on and on it goes. -----------------------------------------------------------

My Interests

Kumquats be damned!

I've heard of a kumquat before, but I never knew what one was. I was fairly certain that it was a fruit. Lo and behold, it IS a fruit, a Chinese fruit that is described as being related to the citru...
