Anyone can relate to being on the phone with someone. Using a particular name in the song was simply my way of putting people on the phone with the person I wanted." explains Mason. The emotional crux of the song is the man’s inward struggle in deciding if he should approach the woman by whom he is smitten. Or just to leave it alone. “The basic concept of this song is an apology; In a phone conversation.†Mason elaborates. “All the songs on the album deal with love and the frustration it often brings.â€

John Mason moved to Nashville, TN recently and has been going non stop since. He has moved many people already and is currently readying his first true album release. Mason is now working with Kent Wells (Dolly Parton) and Danny White (Black Crowes, Hope Floats Movie Soundtrack); Two of the best producers in Nashville, to record these tracks.
Just by talking to John you can see the passion and excitement in his eyes to be able to have the world hear his music as he does in his head.
"I'm just doing what I love; And having a blast. It is my dream to tour the world and play people my songs. And I don't know how not to write songs and I don't know how to not want to perform them; Being said I don't know how to not persue this dream. God has been the biggest part of this, I feel; In leading me where I need to be."
