Fansite for the band that made one of the greatest 7" singles in Belgium. Sigh and Blue Sky, probably one of the most forgotten and overlooked Belgian bands of the late sixties and early seventies. Specialised books about Belgian releases just mention the 7". Nothing is known about where the band came from, who the bandmembers were, in which year the single was released, if the band ever played a gig, if the band had other releases. In the mid-eighties I regularly bought records in the second hand book and record shop from Louiske in the Hoogstraat in Antwerp, Belgium. As the price of the singles was very low, a poor student could buy some extra singles from unknown bands, as maybe someday a discovery could be made. I never regretted to have spent 10 Belgian francs (0,25 euro) to the single of Sigh and Blue Sky.At that time I already tried to find out more about the band, but in vain. Even SABAM, the Belgian association of autors, composers and publishers, didn't know anything about the band or about the two songs, Teach me how" and "Lonely Man". The only thing that is known is that the composer of both songs was a guy named Tuur Franck. Up till now we couldn't find who he was. As far as I know Rain Records, the company that released the 7", had no other releases or activities. If you know anything about Sigh and Blue Sky, or if you know someone who does, please contact me.
