About Me


ZB's A-Z of J-Music is the creation of Zac Bentz, writer for Japantor.com and Otaku USA Magazine . Zac has been a musician himself since 1988, playing drums in many bands over the years. He is currently a member of The Surfactants .
ZB's A-Z of J-Music is a huge collection of profiles and reviews of Japanese bands and musical artists. He has covered 230 so far with no signs of slowing down. The blog is updated almost every day (grab the RSS feed here !) with a new band or album review. Unlike your typical fan-site, ZB's A-Z of J-Music (usually) takes an unbiased look at all genres of Japanese music, from indie rock to pop to folk to metal to vis-kei to Shibuya-kei and everything else.
The main focus of ZB's A-Z of J-Music is to help expose the English-speaking world to the massive amount of unique and fresh Japanese music that they might otherwise miss. Any music lover will easily be able to find something inspiring and new.
