I love the smell of dry grass in the sun, chocolate-chip ice cream, being barefoot, swings, the smell of roastig chiles with onions, moccasins, going to the theatre, irises (bearded), the redwood forest, vintage textiles, vintage clothes, small-useful tools, baking, plums, finger rings, the sound of water falling, herb gardens (although I don't have one at the moment) vanilla.....................I am looking for friends and interesting: people , artists, music, ... also I am really interested in the regency(?) period, 1780- 1830 that I think I will make into a seperate space. It will give me an excuse to research the period, something I have always wanted to do, but never get around to! well, these are my current thoughts. love the scrapbook quality of myspace! fun, fun, fun, ...love to look at other spaces too. there are some really good ones out there.I am working on papier mache things at the moment, although there isn't much time for it. They are really fun to do..... here is an exampleI love turtles! I don't know how this started. I bought a couple for my son when he took a lizard as a pet.(that did't seem right)They were fresh water red-sliders. Which can grow quite large if given room.
I thought they might be like fish...easy to maintain. I learned alot and one of them died. The other,Wingnut, stayed around and it's 4 yrs old I think. Just because they don't make noises we're used to doesn't mean they don't comunicate. As a pet, wingnut gets my attention other ways. He stretches his head out or splashes around in the water. You must be very observant of a turtle-- who represents the world (which is on his back) in several cultures!..
I like cooking (Indian food, and lots of baking), gardening, herbs, reading, reading, and more reading. I sew alot and enjoy painting my toenails(no these are not mine!)
Right now I don't have alot of plants around me, so I think that is why I am putting up here alot of flowers and green! My son's artwork
..
I'm going to be tossing around my top 40 list now and again so beware! It's just for fun -- you all are great friends!
