Hi there! My name is Pam and I am an Italian violinist and musicologist. I graduated from "L.Refice" Italian Music Academy majoring in violin and from "Tor Vergata" Rome University majoring in musicology and minoring in filmology. I got a 3-semester merit scholarship to study at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg of Germany, where I later enrolled as regular student, totally studying abroad for 3 years. I thereby improved my knowledge of musicology, music education, violin performing, singing performing and foreign languages.
As a violinist I played in several chamber ensembles, bands and orchestras (including Rome Symphony Orchestra, Vatican Orchestra, Josh Rouse's Subtitulo Tour String Quartet, D.I.M.I. Orchestra, Würzburg Akademisches Orchester) performing in Italy, Germany, Ireland, Ungheria, Bulgaria and Lithuania, broadcasting on National TVs, recording for COLD SPRING and EMI, accompanying artists such as London Symphony Chorus, Josh Rouse, Katia Ricciarelli, Cecilia Gasdia, Amii Stewart, Lucio Dalla, Gino Paoli, Ornella Vanoni, Giorgia, Amedeo Minghi, Elisa, Massimo Di Cataldo, Marco Morandi, Paola&Chiara. I collaborated as violin arranger and composer in various musical projects, from pop-rock to gothic, from fusion to dance, exploiting the potentiality of the violin by way of analog and digital electronic effects. I studied classical and pop singing, and I sometimes perform and record as violinist-vocalist.
I currently perform in various classical chamber ensembles(violin&piano duo, guitar trio, string quartet), various orchestras(including D.I.M.I. for "Amici" and "Il ballo delle Debuttanti" Italian TV shows broadcasting on Canale 5), Maurizio Boco’s drum solo project "Trance Circular Groove"(featuring Derek Sherinian as guest), and the gothic-neofolk solo project "Rose Rovine&Amanti" (releasing for COLD SPRING and featuring Sol Invictus on a split album). I am violin instructor in 3 music schools of Rome.
Alongside my work as musician, I work as music and film critic, including reviews and interviews for the Italian string instruments magazine "ARCHI Magazine", and as music and film festival organizer, including the Würzburg International Film Festival of Germany. I speak fluently English and German and work as a translator and language instructor as well. I also speak French.
